CleanCutBG provides a suite of free online image-processing tools, including but not limited to background removal, image compression, resizing, format conversion, cropping, rotation, photo enhancement, watermarking, optical character recognition (OCR), passport photo creation, and PDF merging. The Services are provided for personal and commercial use at no charge.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for lawful purposes only. You may not use the Services in any manner that could damage, disable, overload, or impair the Website or interfere with any other party's use of the Services.

The Services are provided on an "as available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any tool or the entire Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Services.

3. Intellectual property

The Website, including its design, text, graphics, logos, code, and all software associated with the Services, is the property of CleanCutBG and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Website without our prior written consent.

The tools, algorithms, and processing pipelines used by the Services incorporate open-source software and machine-learning models. We respect the licenses of all such components and comply with their terms.

4. User content and uploaded files

When you upload an image or file to use any of our tools, you retain full ownership of that content. You are solely responsible for the files you upload and for ensuring that you have the legal right to process them.

Uploaded files are processed on our servers solely for the purpose of performing the requested operation (e.g., removing a background, compressing, converting). We do not store, retain, or archive your uploaded files. All files are deleted from server memory immediately after the processing is complete and the result has been returned to you.

We do not claim any ownership rights over the images or files you process. The output you download belongs to you. We do not use your uploaded content for training machine-learning models, for research, or for any purpose other than fulfilling your immediate request.

You represent and warrant that the files you upload do not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party. You are solely responsible for any content you process through the Services.

5. Acceptable use policy

You agree not to use the Services to:

• Process images that are illegal, defamatory, harassing, or that violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Upload content that infringes the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website's systems, servers, or data.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the Services in a manner that exceeds normal human usage patterns or places undue load on our infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Website or its underlying algorithms.
• Use the Services to create deepfakes, misleading content, or material intended to deceive or defraud others.
• Upload files containing malware, viruses, or any other malicious code.

Violations of this policy may result in immediate termination of your access to the Services and may subject you to legal liability.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that the results obtained from using any tool will be accurate or reliable. The quality of the output depends on the quality, resolution, and content of the input image, and some results may not meet your expectations. You use the Services at your own risk.

Any AI-based processing (such as background removal or OCR) is approximate by nature. We do not guarantee perfect results for every image. You should always review the output before using it for any important purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall CleanCutBG, its operators, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Services.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us for the Services in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $1.00. Since the Services are provided free of charge, this means our liability is limited to the maximum extent possible under applicable law.

You acknowledge that the Services are provided without charge and that this limitation of liability is a reasonable allocation of risk between the parties.

8. Third-party links and services

The Website may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We do not warrant or endorse any third-party content.

Some of our tools use open-source libraries and machine-learning models developed by third parties. We are not responsible for the behavior or output of these third-party components beyond what is described in these Terms.

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may terminate or restrict your access to the Services at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
